It’s been awhile since my last post. I have enjoyed being part of the “Learning 2.0@Mac” programme. I have used many of the tools in the past which I found very beneficial. I’ve created a wiki using pbwiki for the study room booking pilot group last fall to record our minutes of meetings and the status of the project. It made it easier for all group members to contribute to the wiki. I’ve added live RSS feeds in my browser to quickly view the blog of all my “Learning 2.0@Mac” group members. I feel del.icio.us will benefit Library staff since they can keep all their bookmarks in one location. If they get a new staff computer, they can always refer to their del-icio.us account for their bookmarks. The ETG group has been using Google Docs which is very useful since all you need is a browser and an Internet connection. You can access your documents anywhere. I’ve used social networks in the past but never tried Facebook until now. Facebook is a fun tool but can be addictive. As for the gaming topic, it was fun trying the DDR mat. It is harder than it looks but a great workout. I’ve installed Second Life and I’m still on orientation island. I had some difficulty getting new clothes on my avatar but finally figured it out. As for browser tools, my favorite is Web Developer. Greasemonkey is also very useful.
